“Because
I'm manufacturing crystal meth? No, why do you ask? Are you wasting
your life?”
“Yes.”
“You
can be my new driver,” I offered.
“There's
nothing like driving a rich girl around to make you feel like you're
not wasting your life.”
“That's
all I am to you? A rich girl?”
“A
sexy rich girl.”
“That's
more like it. Seriously though, if the acting doesn't work out you
would be a stellar driver.”
“Believe
me, the acting is a lost cause. I've resigned, which is difficult
with a failed career because you have nothing to resign from but I'm
throwing in the towel.”
“So
you'll be my new driver?”
He
shrugged. “That's the best offer I have.”
“Yay,”
I cheered and kissed him.
“Wow,”
said Cloud as he entered the VIP room. “What is this? What happened
to Joseph?”
“Hello
Johnson.”
With
his assistant he sat across from us. We talked shop a while, then he
was gone. William and I drank on for a while longer before he left.
He told me he would come back later to pick me up.
I
circulated for a while but it was painful so I moved back to VIP bar
and drank. The same bartender I met that first day at Lifestyle
was manning the bar. He was friendly. I got his number and a line of
cocaine, which I did right on the bar. Cocaine is strange though. I
don't really like it. But to be fair, I did I feel great after the
line started bubbling through my veins. Countless guys hit on me
before a special guy in a suit arrived to tell me my car was ready
when Will pulled up.
I
left the club and my life began.
